If you’re planning to reside in UAE on visas such as employment, partnership, business, spouse etc., or even if you’re a National of the UAE, you must have an Emirates ID which is used as identification card here as per the UAE laws. There’s an e-form available at authorized typing centers such as Khidmaty that needs to be filled as an application.
1. If you’re a UAE national, a valid passport and family book is required. For other residents, passport and visa are required. Children under 15 also need a colored photo.
2. You can also find a list of typing centers on Emirates ID website
3. After submitting an application, you’ll get a text message on your registered mobile number and you’ll be notified about the location and time of appointment in order to register.
4. After the registration process is done, you will again be notified via text message about picking your Emirates ID. In order to receive that, you must show them your passport copy and text message.
